The edit history of those layers can also be viewed in Illustrator.

(Re-post) https://thesophic.wordpress.com/2011/05/02/the-edit-history-of-those-layers-can-also-be-viewed-in-illustrator/
Open the PDF in Illustrator. In the top menu go to “windows” then “links”. A panel will open. There will be a list of the layers/elements. Double click on one. A window will pop up with the edit info/history. For these layers it says “rotate: 90 degrees” and “size: 24%”. Scanning, OCR filters, etcetera, cannot produce bitmaps/jpgs/tiffs/gifs all in one file, nor does it rotate anything, nor does it resize or edit anything.
